Lisa Rummel, RMT — Registered Massage Therapist in Canmore
Lisa's story

Canmore's most credentialed massage therapist

Lisa Rummel graduated from massage therapy school in 2000 and has been practising in Canmore since 2006 — making her one of the longest-serving practitioners in the Bow Valley. In that time she has built one of Canada's most comprehensive single-therapist practices, combining clinical manual therapy with specialist certifications that most practitioners simply don't have.

Lisa became Canmore's first BIOFLEX laser therapist in 2010, and Canmore's only Dr. Vodder certified lymphatic drainage specialist. She works with post-surgical patients, complex lymphatic conditions, athletes, chronic pain sufferers, and anyone who needs an approach that goes beyond the typical massage clinic.

Beyond her clinical training, Lisa has studied internationally — including at the AHAVA Dead Sea spa research centre in Israel and the KUR Kneipp centre in Germany — and holds her RYT 500 yoga teacher qualification alongside her massage therapy practice.

Practice philosophy

Why I practice the way I do

Everybody deserves clinical-grade care, regardless of presentation — that means assessment first, calibration second, and treatment that respects what you are carrying, physical and otherwise.

I don’t believe in a generic 60-minute massage. I believe in 60 minutes of your treatment — built around what your tissue is asking for that day, drawn from the specialist toolkit I’ve spent two decades building, and delivered with the time, attention, and respect you came in expecting.

Specialist training is a means, not an end. The credentials matter only insofar as they let me give you better care than the practitioner down the street could. That is the bar.
